Mimi like a newcomer was paired reverse Arjun Chakraborty, son associated with actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty within StarJalsa's daily cleaning soap Gaaner Oparey 2010. She needed to undergo grooming sessions for that serial Ganer Opare. She learnt dancing too for this show. Rituparno had several sessions with her using the script. It was per month long session where Rituparno required classes with script as well as diction.
She does not originate from a family of stars. "No one in my loved ones has ever been in to acting. However, I always wanted to get this done. I got this chance quite suddenly" she quipped.
